Eswatini Sugar is a major agro-industrial company operating in the Lubombo Region of Eswatini, with its primary milling operations at the Mhlume and Simunye sugar estates. It is one of Eswatini’s largest employers and a cornerstone of the national agricultural economy. The company grows sugarcane on irrigated land along the Usutu River and processes it into raw sugar for export, primarily to the EU under the SADC-EU Economic Partnership Agreement. Eswatini Sugar also produces molasses and bagasse-based energy, contributing significantly to local value addition and rural development in eastern Eswatini.
