The National Emergency Response Council on HIV and AIDS (NERCHA) is a government parastatal in Eswatini, established in 2001 through an Act of Parliament. Headquartered in Mbabane, it was created to coordinate and oversee the country’s multi-sectoral response to the HIV and AIDS epidemic. NERCHA works with government ministries, civil society organisations, development partners, and communities across Eswatini to implement national HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support programmes. It also manages and disburses funding for HIV and AIDS interventions nationwide, playing a central role in the kingdom’s public health strategy.
