Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of council infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and technical reports.

  • Report unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
  • Ensure proper environmental considerations are incorporated into engineering projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, project updates and engineering recommendations for management and Council.
  • Maintain proper records of projects, inspections, drawings, contracts and infrastructure assets.
  • Provide information required for audits and management reporting.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, government departments, utility providers and other stakeholders on engineering matters.
  • Respond to technical queries and complaints from members of the public.
  • Participate in community engagement relating to council infrastructure projects.
