Key Responsibilities

  • Manage industrial relations through the tracking and monitoring of IR incidents and provide trend analysis to mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop, review, update and monitor Human Capital policies while providing guidance and interpretation to management and staff.
  • Advise the business on labour law judgements and their impact on organisational operations.
  • Manage employee relations through the effective resolution of disputes, collective bargaining processes, and grievance management.
  • Compile periodic reports on grievances, disciplinary matters, employee relations developments, industrial relations, and staff engagements.
  • Foster positive relationships with unions through regular Union-Management engagements and effective follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Lead, coach and supervise staff while ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Advantageous Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with specialisation in Employee Relations.
  • Minimum More than 6 years’ employee relations experience within a unionised environment.
  • Advantageous 2 or more years’ supervisory or management experience.
  • Admitted attorney of the High Court with corporate HR work experience.
