Key Responsibilities
- Managing production of HP Steam required for Cane Operations and Power Production
- Managing the export of power
- Supplying the Distillery with High Pressure (HP) and Low Pressure (LP) steam to support continuous and efficient alcohol production operations.
- Managing the supplementary fuel budget.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements relating to the safe operation, care, and maintenance of boiler equipment.
- Upholding and contributing to all IMS initiatives.
Requirements
- B Tech or BSc Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of an EIT program in a sugar factory will be an added advantage.
- Five (5) years experience in the sugar industry or similar heavy industry.
- Three (3) years minimum in a supervisory or similar position
- Government certificate of competency will be an added advantage.
- Previous sugar factory Steam and Power generation experience at engineer level will be an added advantage
Salary
The job is in Task Grade T15 and conditions that subsist in this grade will apply.
