MAINTENANCE MANAGER – Enviro Applied Products (Pty) Ltd 55 views

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Maintenance Manager.

Reporting To: Head of Operations

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance operations to ensure the efficient servicing, repair, maintenance, and availability of company vehicles, trucks, machinery, equipment, and workshop facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day maintenance operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Supervise workshop personnel and ensure productivity and quality standards are achieved.
  • Ensure the availability, servicing, and maintenance of fleet and equipment.
  • Monitor maintenance costs, spare parts, and workshop budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Coordinate inspections, licensing, and roadworthiness requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or related technical field.
  • Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mechanics, Motor Mechanics, or related artisan trade will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance and workshop management.
  • Experience managing fleet (Bell tractors, UD trucks and Toyota vans) heavy equipment, or industrial/ agricultural machinery i.e. Pumps, Motors, electrical, Valves, Tanks, spray drier, Ovens, Fans.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of maintenance management systems.
  • Strong technical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
