To help the Council collect outstanding municipal rates from residential and commercial properties, update customer data, and maintain good relationships with property owners.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with customers on unpaid rates balances via phone, email, and face-to-face visits.
- Collect outstanding balances from residential and commercial property owners.
- Collect and update accurate customer details and KYC documents.
- Keep clean, written records of all customer communications.
- Meet or exceed monthly collection targets.
- Send out regular email reminders and notifications to overdue accounts.
- Submit regular collection reports to the Revenue Specialist.
- Participate in community meetings and public events to promote collection awareness.
Requirements
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least one (1) year of experience in finance, billing, debt collection, or revenue administration.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and ERP systems).
- Strong communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Direct experience in debt management or local government revenue collection.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet targets.
- Strong teamwork and leadership potential.
