Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organisation’s RPA and automation strategy aligned with the digital transformation roadmap.
- Identify and prioritise automation and innovation opportunities across business units.
- Promote adoption of emerging technologies, including intelligent automation and AI-enabled RPA.
- Establish and manage an RPA Centre of Excellence (CoE) or appropriate governance structures.
- Lead strategic pilot projects and implementation of approved innovative solutions requiring system development.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing systems and platforms.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of RPA solutions, from ideation to deployment and optimisation.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reusable, and aligned with enterprise ICT architecture.
- Provide guidance to RPA developers and automation teams.
- Lead system integrations between internal and external systems, platforms, and databases.
- Identify and resolve system, data, and architecture issues.
- Lead business process re-engineering initiatives prior to automation.
- Collaborate with business owners to ensure measurable benefits such as cost savings, efficiency gains, and service improvements.
- Track and report on automation benefits realisation.
- Ensure RPA initiatives comply with ICT governance, information security, data protection, and change management requirements.
- Establish standards, guidelines, and best practices for automation.
- Support audit and compliance processes related to digital solutions.
- Engage senior management and stakeholders to build support for automation initiatives.
- Lead change management, communication, and training to support adoption.
- Act as the primary liaison with business units, ICT teams, and external vendors.
- Evaluate, manage, and monitor RPA tools, platforms, and service providers.
- Recruit, manage, coach, and mentor team members.
- Monitor team performance and delivery of outputs.
- Conduct performance reviews and address non-performance or disciplinary matters in line with policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related ICT field
- Strong understanding of databases, SQL, APIs, and system integrations
- Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as C#, VB.NET, or Python
- Experience with one or more RPA platforms
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as COBIT or TOGAF
- Postgraduate qualification in ICT, Business Administration, or Digital Innovation
- Five to eight years’ experience in ICT systems development, digital transformation, or software engineering
- At least three years’ proven experience in RPA solution development and deployment, including business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management
- At least two years’ experience in project management and information security
- At least two years experience in revenue service systems
- Relevant professional certifications, including Project Management and Information Security certifications
