Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field workers in sugar cane and bulk crops sections.
- Ensure adherence to planting, cultivation, harvesting and other crop management practices.
- Monitor crop growth, identify problems and report to the Overseer.
- Monitor pests and diseases in the crops and take prompt action or report for control measures.
- Ensure tools, equipment and resources are used and maintained properly.
- Keep accurate records of labour, input usage, field activities and crop yields.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Agronomy / Agriculture.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably in sugar cane or bulk crops.
- Computer literate (MS Office and farm management systems advantage).
- Good knowledge of crop production practices and farm operations.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
