The Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA) seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the position of Communications and Stakeholder Officer. The position reports to the Communications and Stakeholder Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the communications and stakeholder engagement strategy and policies.
  • Develop and disseminate communication content across various platforms including print, digital, and social media.
  • Support public relations activities including media engagement, press briefings, and monitoring of media coverage.
  • Manage and update ESERA’s website and social media platforms.
  • Develop multimedia content (graphics, infographics, and visual materials) using tools such as Canva or similar.
  • Support branding and ensure consistent application of ESERA’s corporate identity across all materials and events.
  • Capture and support photography and videography for ESERA activities and events.
  • Support consumer education and public awareness initiatives on electricity and petroleum regulation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagements, public consultations, events, and outreach programmes.
  • Support the management, tracking, and reporting of customer complaints and stakeholder engagements.
  • Compile and present stakeholder and consumer reports to Management as required.
  • Support the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations management or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience in corporate communications and corporate affairs, three (3) years at a senior level.
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Strong media writing (conventional and social media) skills and relations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional skills in marketing communication, events management, social media, website management and brand image management.
  • Design, materials production, photography and videography skill required
  • Demonstrates positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite
  • Experience with email marketing apps, Canva and other such applications an added advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and under minimum supervision
  • Result oriented
