Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments to determine patients’ fitness and readiness for anaesthesia and surgery, and communicate relevant findings to the surgical team.
  • Safely administer anaesthesia and continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, airway, blood loss and overall condition throughout surgical procedures.
  • Provide safe peri-operative care, including airway management, resuscitation, blood transfusion where indicated, neonatal resuscitation during Caesarean sections, and emergency anaesthesia services.
  • Ensure the availability, preparation, safe use and control of anaesthesia equipment, drugs and supplies, while maintaining accurate patient, drug and inventory records.

Requirements

  • IGCSE/O-Level Certificate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nurse Anaesthesia.
  • Current registration with Medical & Dental Council.
