REGIONAL FIELD SUPERVISORS – Ministry of Health – Eswatini National HIV and AIDS Programme (ENAP)

National Audit of Viral Load Monitoring, ART Regimen Quality and Selected Clinical Outcomes among Children, Adolescents and Young Adults Living with HIV in Eswatini. The Regional Field Supervisor will coordinate and support data-collection teams in one region, maintain productive relationships with facilities, monitor field progress and ensure that work is completed safely, ethically and in accordance with the approved audit protocol.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate collector deployment, facility schedules and daily workplans with the Study Coordinator, region teams and facility focal persons.
  • Provide regular on-site supportive supervision; monitor attendance, workload, progress and adherence to the protocol and approved procedures.
  • Guide collectors on record navigation and workflow challenges, and work with the Regional Data Manager to resolve data-tool or device problems.
  • Receive and consolidate daily/weekly progress reports and transport logs, identify delays and recommend practical team reallocation where needed.
  • Ensure that confidentiality, security and urgent-clinical-flag procedures are followed and that concerns reach the authorised facility team promptly.
  • Escalate operational, performance, safeguarding, ethical or protocol concerns to the Study Coordinator and perform other related duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification and previous experience in data collection/data capture, field coordination or supervision.
  • Ability to lead and support teams working across multiple facilities, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate progress records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with electronic data-collection tools is desirable.
  • Able to speak, read and write English and siSwati.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Experience in HIV programmes, health-facility record review or regional health activities will be an advantage.
